My husband and I both turned 40 last year so we had a combined party. He loves fishing and I love making cakes - thus a shark eating a cupcake. It was a huge cake (it took 11 quantities of white mud cake) and took 22 hours to make! The cake was about 70 cms long. My helpful husband made the board, pier and fishing rod and the support for the shark. I made my own rice crispies to stick on the bottom of its mouth to give the curved shape - a nightmare to stick with gravity fighting me. I got my inspiration from Buddy from Cake Boss, but his version was a mean looking shark with blood and guts - mines a happier one.
