This is the first cake I have made for someone's big day. So happy it was for my nephew and his bride. The cake is a 6", 8", and 12". Very basic flavors per the bride's request - white almond, chocolate, and butter. All covered in vanilla buttercream and middle tier covered in fondant. I panicked when the fabric ribbon started to absorb the oil from the buttercream, but I did not cry. I said a prayer that it would be fine come morning and in time for the wedding. By the next morning the ribbon was darker than the color we were aiming for, but it was consistently stained and no one knew the difference. Happy with the result and so happy I was able to make this cake. TFL
