Customer ordered a replica of her son's custom Les Paul model Gibson guitar for his graduation open house. This was a first for me and I was SO stressed all week about it coming out alright. Happily, all went well and I was pleased with the end result as well as the customers. The body of the guitar is cake covered in fondant, the neck is styrofoam and the strings are embroidery thread (a nice little tip I picked up here on CC!) I must also mention that I got a great deal of inspiration for this cake from CC member Sugarlump's fabulous cake which is by far the best guitar cake I have ever seen!
