I was commissioned to make a birthday cake for a 5 yr old boy. He fell in love with Toothless from "How to Train Your Dragon" and wanted him as his cake.  Created on May 30, 2010.

Doll cake decorated to be a fairy. Double chocolate fudge cake, buttercream icing, MMF, cake coloring and sprinkles. Everything is edible except the butterlies and the doll, of course.

Tinkerbell with Disney Princesses.  Chocolate cake w/french butter cream frosting covered in fondant.  Tink and Princesses are all chocolate transfers.  Tiara is all hand made out of chocolate with the birthday girls name on it.

I must say that this was REALLY fun!
The key to a cake like this is TAKE YOUR TIME and START EARLY! 
This cake is CHOCOLATE, with Buttercream Frosting. One little surprise was that The filling was an M&M and Cookies & Cream candy bar!! YUMMY!

This was carved from a single sheet cake. It's all edible and mostly buttercream. The head, face, and dress are covered in marzipan.

Milk Belgian Chocolate Cake with Strawberry White Chocolate Cream Cheese filling, 35 servings. MMF, sugar paste Bloom, gelatin wings. Everything is edible.

This cake was made for a wonderful soldier and his wife for their first year wedding anniversary.  He absolutely loves dragons!  The body and part of the tail are french vanilla cake, and the rest of it is either fondant or Crayola model magic...

Rice krispie treat sculpture, covered in fondant with hand painted detail. The treasure mound is a bed of caramel brownies decorated with coloured sugars.
This is my boyfriend's first attempt, mostly on his own, after helping me with a few cakes.

This was my first attempt at a #-D cake.  It was a groom's cake for a wedding.  I didn't have time to make the wings, but neither the bride or groom cared.  The cake was red velvet with a raspberry filling.

Chocolate cake covered in marshmallow fondant, accented with hand painting and 24K gold dust.  Wrapped chocolate coins to represent the "treasure" and candy pebbles.

Cakes are 10 " and  6" on 1/2 sheet  cake with all the fairy princess' and Tinkerbell were all on hand . The ribbon was there for transportation of the cake .

Look close you can see water coming down the waterfall as the two fairies add flowers.  Fondant Cake with sugar fairies and flowers, candy rocks and royal icing. The cake is hand painted.  A waterfall of poured sugar is under the non-edible...

This is a vanilla cake with chocolate peanut butter frosting. All the flowers, acorns twigs and bugs are made out of gum paste. Everything is edible except the butterflies and fairies.
