Bakugan cake and dragon egg cupcakes made for my son's 6th birthday

This is a combination of a several different cakes. I used 2- 10" rounds for the base of the large cake, a sheet cake to make the actual purple flower, a 9" petal for the pink flower and the mounds (between the pink & purple flowers) & the mushroom top were made from a small Pyrex bowl. The cupcake made the mushroom base. All the little flowers & leaves were made with marshmallow fondant (my first attempt at fondant, I might add!). I made extra cupcakes (along-side the cake) to use the extra fondant.

This cake was done for a boy's 10th birthday. The mother had a ceramic figure that she wanted copied. Only my second attempt at "sculpting" a cake but I was happy with the result. White cake w/MMF everything. Hope you like!

I made this for my son's 3-1/2 birthday party (he's born on Christmas Eve, so we do kids parties for him in the summer instead). I did not want to feed green food dye to a bunch of 2- to 6-year olds, so I resolved to 24 kiwi fruits, sliced to turn into dragon scales. Cake is torted and filled with a variation of pastry cream. After I served the cake, I realized I forgot to put on the wings... oh well.

Thanks to all the ideas I got off CC and pictures I found on the web this cake was a success, I am proud. The body is made from a 9"x 11" sheet cut in half stacked for 2 layers and carved, the tail is a 10" round I cut (forgot to round out). I tried to make the head and neck out of rice krispies but it wouldn't hold so I carved foam. Scales are teardrops cut out of fondant. It took 3 hours to put on all the scales then I airbrushed it using green and gold.. Horns teeth and tongue etc are gumpaste.

A cake I made based on some fabulous tutorials here on Cake Central. The dragon is 100% cake with fondant scales, eyes, claws, and ridge spikes. The wings are gumpaste. Each scale edge was gold dusted.

This is a very simple cake but it was actually my very first cake. It is covered in buttercream frosting and the lake is colored icing with non toxic glitter to give it that special look.
