Here is what my TNMT looked like when I opened the box. The additional photos are what he looked like after I tried to repair him before the party. All-in-all, the mom was happy. The kids destroyed it anyway. Tasted good.

I made a little cookie bouquet for my daughters 3rd birthday. Half of the cookies broke on the way to the party. I know how not to transfer them for the next time.

Ever wonder why you even try? Here's my moment! Tried making my MMF with the new KA that my DH got me for Christmas (rather than by hand as usual). It took me 10 times longer to get it even close to the right consistency...then it cracked on me after...

This poor cake, everything went wrong with it. My neice asked for purple with brown flowers, her mom said no dark icing. The caramel flowers melted, my piping needs work, and on the way to the party the bottom cracked and started breaking open.

I just found this album and realized I have something to add! This was made years ago for my son's birthday -- there was a long list of things I still had to learn! It was the first time I used fondant, first time I tried a crooked cake (it didn't...

I added this cake in the "First time cakes" category and then came across this category and realized that my cake belongs here. This was a total disaster. I made this Prescription Bottle Anniversary Cake for my parents, however, as you can tell from...

I wanted to make my first mmf topsy turvy Halloween birthday cake for my mom. I had to travel 300 miles with it. It started as a four tier and ended up being three. 30 min into the trip I took the 2 top layers off. They were all ready slipping. The...

I think the cakes were just too heavy and too small to be stacked. The top cake slid off less than a block away from its destination. I made a new "book" to replace the bottom one but less than an hour later after replacing it, the top one slipped...

This was a cake made for a friend and her son put too many relightable candles on it. The result, we couldn't blow them out and the cake suffered the consequences. We did rescue the bottom bits to eat, but you could taste the wax.... Yuk!

This is a cake from a class I took last night. I thought my foundation was stable, but I guess it wasn't, because the cake didn't even make it to the dawn of the next day. I did redo the cake using the main structure and replaced the foundation.

This was my first attempt at a topsy turvy cake. Never again! Took forever to make.

I made it for a close friend's son's bar mitzvah. I made the TERRIBLE mistake of not refrigerating it and on the way to the party the cake fell apart. See the...
