This was for a company Christmas party who roast and BBQ a pig every year for the employs...so they felt a Pig cake was appropriate... and it was a cute idea... The pig is red velvet cake made using half the sports ball pan for the head and the body using two tiers carved and shaped from the smallest oval 5 X 7 pan, and the platter is white chocolate cake using the largest 16 X 12 oval pan, both covered in butter cream and over laid in fondant icing...The cake board was a 17 X 20 piece of plywood covered in fondant, trimmed in ribbon and I hand painted the checks with americolor red red and rum. The Fork,Knife,Napkin,Salt & Pepper shakers,Oven Mitt,Ribbon,Tag,Snout,Ears and Eyes are all fondant. TFL,Mary

I made these for Christmas dinner and some to hand out for gifts... They are Red Velvet and Strawberry Cupcakes, with cream cheese icing and a hint of peppermint flavoring added...the tops and hooks are made with and covered in fondant icing, and painted with gold luster dust. Enjoy the pics and Merry Christmas,Mary :o)
