The picture loses some of the detail - the white wraps at the bottom are cut to look like snow drifts. It's not completely finished yet, each of the three reindeer will be holding a sign wishing someone farewell, happy birthday, etc. to people at my friend's school (my friend's idea). It's my first time trying to sculpt anything, so while they're not perfect, it was fun.

Yellow cake cupcakes filled with Bailey's filling and iced with Bailey's buttercream. MMF accents. I had a nice little buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz going while making the icing, filling, etc. Maybe it was the little drink on the side? hmmmm I dunno, but it's all good! ;-)

I learned on this cake that you can definitely make too lush of a bed of icing to place flowers and leaves in. No matter what I did, I still see too much icing (ivory) through the leaves. The flowers are royal, the leaves are fondant, the ivory is bc and the ribbon is non-edible.

I know it's not all that exciting, but I think the cookies are cute!

A quick 9X13 for our Moms Club Holiday Party tomorrow. Cookie Monster is colorflow, cookies are Cookie Crisp cereal (I think that's the name), everything else is buttercream. The cake is orange with a cranberry/strawberry filling.

This is a choc. choc. chip cake with chocolate mousse/cream cheese filling and choc. buttercream covered in MMF and sugarflow labels/stamps. It's my first "commissioned" cake - my friend is paying supplies and a night of babysitting. (Altogether about $50.) It's a close replica of my present cake from course III. And now, I think I'll go back to buttercream only as fondant is really stressful!

White cupcakes with white chocolate chips and coconut buttercream. The snowflakes are color flow. The tops are sprinkled with sparkles, but we can't see them in the picture!

This is my present cake from Wilton Course III. The color flow stamp broke (ARGH!) and the cake slid on the way home, so the bead border is screwy. My fondant isn't perfect, but it was my first so I'm not too upset. The hard part of the fondant was tucking the corners so it really looked like a package - sometimes it pulled or sagged a bit too much. All in all I'm pleased and I know my daughter will love seeing her name on a cake.
