The 12 days of Christmas shown on a cake for dear friends. I used patchwork cutters again and spent a very relaxing afternoon painting each plaque

Christmas cake for a dear friend. The design was created as a plaque then dropped into the cut out circle on top of the cake. She loved it.

Christmas 2009 and just beginning to get "hooked". Early experience with patchwork cutters. Each small pudding was made up of 4 separate pieces, which my DH lovingly constructed while I concentrated on rest of the cake. Hardest part was getting the sugarpaste "Christmas red".
