I designed this cake.
The bottom borders are rosettes and fence borders. The top borders are reverse shell coupled with scalleps and lots of string work, rounded off with sweet peas drapped over all 12 corners.
On the top tear, I used reverse shell top border with the string work hanging from the tips of the reverse shells. None of the string work touches the cake, this way the strings cast a shadow on the sides of the top tear.
I am a mechanical engineer by trade, but cake decorating is my hobby. The cakes I decorate are one of a kind. I design each cake I decorate from scratch. I want my cakes to be special for the people I decorate them for.
