This is awesome. I love to see sculpted cakes finished in buttercream.... you can do almost anything in fondant.... but buttercream.... WOW! :D

Spiderman cake disaster

I couldn't find a styrofoam wig head anywhere, so I decided to make Spidey's head out of RK treats. Shoulders/torso are cake. Lots of cake boards and dowels in this, I thought it would be fine....however, the next morning......I had to do a...

I couldn't find a styrofoam wig head anywhere, so I decided to make Spidey's head out of RK treats.  Shoulders/torso are cake.  Lots of cake boards and dowels in this, I thought it would be fine....however, the next morning......I had to do a complete head transplant!  The second time around I used a 6" styrofoam ball cut in half, with a 6" cake dummy in between to make it an oval.  All BC except for MMF eyes.
