This was a halloween birthday cake. The two bases (10 inch & 12 in rounds) are covered in double chocolate buttercream. All is edible except for the moon and the armature for the spooky tree. The gravestones, wagon, skulls, bones & ghosts are gumpaste. The house is made of seven layers of cake, sealed with vanilla buttercream and the clapboard and shingles are fondant along with the rocks. The cake board is covered with rolled fondant and hand painted with thinned royal icing.
