Cowboy Hat for LEROY

14 " Marble sheet cake with crusting BC adorned with chili peppers & silver buttons. hat cake is chocolate with BC & MMF. Details: crown -3 layers 6" cake carved, smoothed with BC & covered in MMF. Brim - made 5 days ahead tried...

14 " Marble sheet cake with crusting BC adorned with chili peppers & silver buttons. hat cake is chocolate with BC & MMF. Details: crown -3 layers 6" cake carved, smoothed with BC & covered in MMF. Brim - made 5 days ahead tried molding it on an upside down cowboy hat, had trouble, flipped it over onto a board and used cans hold the brim up. All my commotion made cracks, which I covered by adding a thin layer of fresh MMF on top. Whew, what a save. Black fondant and silver conch for hat trim.
