A new farmer is born, and to celebrate we had a farm themed shower with lots of pennant banners and pniwheels. Complete with two plots of strawberry and lemon cream cheese pinwheel cuppycakes.a vanilla barn with buttercream red paint, baby fondant/gumpaste animals in the midst of a candy bumper crop!! This cake wasn't perfect but it was fun! I did love the fondant animals, especially the muddy piggy! TFL!

This is a cake I did for my friend Tina to match her Paisley Whimsical Owl Baby Shower Invites. All decorations are fondant and the cake is covered in creme brulee buttercream. Although the owl and paisley parts turned out to look a lot like the invites, and the baby was adorable (especially the toes, see other view), I liked the pacifier too but that dadgum bow broke on me traveling to the site to set it up and the buttercream never really crusted leaving me with a messy finish. I know it looks busy but it really did match the invites, cupcake toppers, sucker covers, and water bottles that she ordered. Tina was pleased about the overall cake and thought it was just cute as a button but that Bow just made me feel bad. I just may be too OCD to ever be satisfied with my work. Thanks for looking though.

This was my first attempt at an ombre petal cake for my friend Ambers baby shower. It is a three layer vanilla cake filled with cream cheese icing and decorated with graduating buttercream colors from white to dark pink and a zebra fondant "ruffle" at the bottom. Sitting on top is big fondant flower with a zebra baby sitting upon it. I had a little trouble with the zebra but was proud of the fondant flowers, they are better than I have ever accomplished. In the second pic you will see the cinna bon cuppie cakes with cream cheese icing and cinnamon swirl glaze because Amber craved cinabons during her whole pregnancy.

Brittanys Baby Shower Baby with Bassinette. Vanilla cake with buttercream, bassinette frosted in buttercream with fondant baby and blanket. I cheated a little as I used a deli container for the lid of the bassinette and just frosted it in buttercream but everything else was edible. Made for a sister-in-law for her sisters baby shower in 2009? Loved the baby toes in this one!

A cake for Whitneys baby shower. My favorite is the baby toes under the blanket. Vanilla Cake with Buttercream Icing, Fondant Dots and Baby details. Modeled upon a cake done earlier for Whitneys twin sister Brittanys baby shower cake.

Your cakes are so original. How on earth did you do the box?
ccwilson 11/2/12 at 7:30am
I am sorry I have not logged in for quite some time. Which box are you referring too?
carmonscakes 11/2/12 at 7:31am
Thank You :-) I am not sure what you mean by the box though.

Im not sure why I have comments that don`t refer to my cakes.... I think there is a problem with this site??? Anyone know what that could be???
FondantDreams 11/4/12 at 5:05am
I'm also wondering what all of these comments on my page are? This site is so confusing now.
EmiliaLeslie 11/4/12 at 12:14pm
I am thinking this is because we uploaded our pictures to a community album and not a personal one. :/
smplycreative2 11/4/12 at 3:46pm

FondantDreams 11/4/12 at 4:38pm
Is anybody else finding this new layout extremely confusing? I am hating it, definitely not easier.
Toster 11/4/12 at 6:47pm

I'm so glad it's not just me! I'm on my page right now, looking at my baby shower cakes, but there are 9 comments here that are definitely not me.

I'm not sure I like this either...I'm looking at pics of my cakes and wondering where all these comments came from. Not from my cakes! LOL.
Rosie2 11/5/12 at 4:41pm

Yea, I found all of these comments on my cake page too and was like oh that's nice until I realized it wasn't for me??…. This is a little confusing!! ><

Yes, this new set-up is too weird. I know I should have read the manual before attempting to navigate through the new CC, but I guess old habits are hard to break and I didn't have to do that when I signed up for the original CC, everything was pretty self-explanatory. I don't have much time to be on the computer so spending the little time I have taking a class to learn how to make my way though is not fun, lol, not at all.
BlueCactus 11/15/12 at 9:56pm
ahhhh, i'm looking at my baby shower cakes and a whole bunch of confused comments.... i think they are having some monumental teething issues with the new design. Me thinks someone will be working through the evenings to resolve these numerous issues.
