This is a couple of the cookie bouquets my middle school students made for their mom or grandmas for Mother's Day. Lots of kids made bouquets - I have approximately 20 kids but I forgot my camera and only a couple sent me a pic! I am sure they put them on their fb pages! I am really proud of them.

This is my grandsons first attempt at decorating a cake. He has helped me before and has watched many times. I had some cake left over from a cake I made the other day and he asked if he could decorate it. He was so proud.

But when we went to eat it the strawberry icing had moved down the side of the cake making the chocolate droop. He shrugged and said "Oh well, At least we know it tastes good. We should have taken the picture before it melted" He was so excited to post the picture.

She has never been too into my cake stuff. She is very good in art and can draw anything she sees, so I've tried to get her into it. So I was pretty happy when she ask to do/fix this cake. The colors weren't what she would have chose, it was a airbrush mess, was airbrushed brown to be a hat, but it didn't work out, turned into a doll dress, but her teq's were pretty darn good.

This is my daughters 8th birthday cake - that she made all by herslef! The only thing I did for her was fill the bags and hold the paper towel as she smoothed the cake. She made the decorations out of mmf some time last week and iced with bc. It's a choc cake with white choc ganache filling. She said her inspiration for this cake was from bulldog's Barney cake and my latest baby shower cake. That's for looking, I am so proud of her.

For my daughter's 9th birthday, she had a sleepover with her best friend. I made each girl a 6in layer cake and let them have fun with decorating. This is her cake.

My 7 year old made this for her birthday. I did the doll's top and crumb coated the cake. She also used a couple of my leftover royal icing flowers. The rest of the icing and decorations were done by my daughter. She got her inspiration from Mommyof2angels picture. My daughter called them cha cha girls. I have trouble "letting go" when my kids do cakes so I was very proud of my daughter and how it turned out.

This is a cake my son did when he was 7 1/2. Our scout troop does an auction every year where the kids are supposed to decorate a cake themselves and it get auctioned off for a fundraiser. There was more frosting on this cake then most of mine. He had a blast and was so proud of his cake. He did everything except put it in and out of the oven. He even greased and floured the pans and cleaned up!!

I just saw this new gallery & had to upload a picture of my dd's cake that she decorated. She did this one last year(she was 7). All I did was color the icing & fill the bags for her & she iced & decorated it all herself. She had never used a dec bag before, but she got the hang of it real fast. She even molded the birds out of icing. Can you tell I'm a proud mom?..Thanks for looking

This is my son's second cake he made for scouts. We "won" this one and used it for my husband's birthday. My son and I baked the top cake in a round metal bowl and the other is 1/4 sheet. Lots of cake for the 4 of us! It was his design and he did it all except stack the cake and write on it.
