This cake was featured years ago in Woman's Day magazine. I made it for my mother's birthday. The water is made by scooping out some of the cake on the top layer and filling it with blueberry jello. The teddy graham cookies are dressed in bc swimsuits with snorkels and masks, hair, etc. There are a couple mermaid teddy grahams. The piers are Pepperidge Farm Pirouette cookies. The boat is a Twinkie. Candy lobsters and crabs and candy treasure chest line the bottom.

Made using Wilton's Partysaurus cake pan. I added cut-to-size sugar cookies for the parts of the crest, beak, and tail that extended beyond the cake. This cake was for my boyfriend's birthday and was a real hit. It was my first major attempt at cake decorating.

This is my adaptation of another cake addicts cake. The cake is a chocolate layer cake decorated with buttercream. The animals are hand made in fondant. These were my first fondant figures and they came out pretty cute. I love the monkeys and the hippo. The parent's of the birthday boy loved it!

A typical Canadian Winter snowscene with tall snow covered pines, a squirrel eating his nut, a fox looking for food, a beaver chomping on a dead tree, a racoon looking for a winter home, a rabbit hoping to find something to eat and a hedgehog just taking a stroll. Complete with footprints in the snow and a frozen pond. All edible decorations.

This is a bridal shower cake I did for a couple that were crazy about camping. I used pretzel sticks for the fire wood, split wafer cookies for the tent and upside down waffle cones for the trees, everything else is buttercream and piping gel.

A 2 tier chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream iced with a leaf tip.
Cattails and fall foliage surround a little duck decoy with special significance to the bride. 2 grapevine wreaths were used as the base and a camoflage print cloth was placed on the table under the cake.

This cake is a 1st on making a ball cake, making and decorating w/MMF. But I really wanted to participate in this contest, any reason to make and eat a cake is good to me. It was an all around fun time making it though and that what matters to me.
