I coloured the gumpaste in orange with Sugarflair paste....In my opinion it's easier to color the paste then to paint the single petals...
Yesterday I made this gerbera cake For the petals I used gerbera cutters with plunger and for the middle a little daisy cutter. The petals are veined with the holly veiner tool - I love it....For the center I made a yellow ball, flatten a little, insert a hook and pressed the fondant in a metal sifter , then formed a little with my fingers. After drying I painted with thinned colour paste in green and brown.... Hope, that helps!
