Gah, I absolutely HATE those baby butt cakes. I think it looks like someone stuffed an infant headfirst down in the cake. That said - we do a couple of these every week and the decoration goes pretty quickly so that is a money maker.
What kind of dried fruit? Real died fruit, like apricots or figs or pineapple, or those gross fake red/green cherries?
Good save! One tip is to use a cake drum larger than the cake. It makes it so much easier to handle the cake and to move it.
