Great idea!!! Thanks for sharing and congrats on getting an Agbay!
You’re welcome Pam57 and auntginn, but all thanks should actually go to CC member Kara, aka costumeczar.  There is also an absolutely beautifully done example of her cake on her blogsite that also explains how she did it.    http://acaketorememberva.blogspot.com/2012/07/exploded-flowers-wedding-cake-with.html   Thank you Kara!  Love your blog!
Excellent tutorial by Kara Buntin.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI3riDoTnJ0&list=UUDru9n0gVtJlapF93R1npSw&index=1&feature=plcp
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but it is a link I saved with the intention of trying it myself.  It is fondant that was stenciled and then pleated.  It's quite beautiful and I love the technique.  I hope it helps.   http://sugarteachers.blogspot.com/search/label/Pleated%20fondant
BakingIrene, as always, I very much appreciate your kindness and generosity in sharing your knowledge and experience here in the forum. I have learned so much from all of the valuable information you constantly impart to help those in need, so thank you.  By the way, you could type in all caps and it wouldn’t bother me the least.
You're very welcome. Here is a forum link that you might also find interesting reading. http://cakecentral.com/t/754565/qs-about-cupcake-bouquet

I was thinking along the lines of Sassyzan with the conversation hearts, only red hearts bearing each person’s name, along with “Happy Valentine’s Birthday” scrolled across the cake.  In keeping with the Valentine’s Day theme, maybe jazzy up the rest of the cake with some red roses and Cornelli Lace.
