I just saw this thread. I too am in Alabama. I think the problem is that nobody really knows about it. If we could get a Facebook page going, that would be the best idea. Has anybody done that yet?
I just finished reading the discussion on all the companies changing the weights on their box mixes. I have no issue at all making my cakes from scratch. I did boxes just for the simpleness of them. So, I have recipes (The Cake Mix Doctor) that start with cake mixes. Can I start with my made-from-scratch recipe and just doctor from there? I have a strawberry recipe that everybody loves that starts with a cake mix. I can just adjust dry ingredients based on the doctored up...
