Thanks...I've never used pre-made from the store. So I'm unsure how dark the purple shades are from satin ice or any other company out there.
anyone have suggestions on the best way to achieve dark purple fondant? I'm talking about that deep plum eggplant color. I've read that mixing purple into fondant can cause the color to fade, especially under sunlight. I have the duff...
oh and to answer the question about the first cake...she picked it up the next day...i suppose they've been eating cake all week
yes, she's paying for both i thought about freezing it, but just couldn't stand the thought of the fondant drooping and "sweating". Plus, the cake would be going another hour to its destination.
