Ahh well look at that. I missed the instruction to add a smear of shortening. That was one mistake. 2nd mistake is maybe the mat had some moisture still from air drying it. Thanks yal. Have to give this another go.

Hmmm thanks for this info. I too have been looking for that one magical thing that will give my white fondant cakes a sheen. Spent loads of money already on Americolor airbrush pearl sheen spray but find it gets lost on white fondant....
