I have the same Kitchenaid model and have had so many problems with it! My prevous Kitchenaid was great and worked fine but I think there may be sometihng worng with the model.

Use a light touch when first starting out. Also layering your colors will make them seem more realistic. Lastly, remember once you put it on you cant wipe it off!
