I agree with with @matthewkyrankelly critiques.    Don't give up!  Just keep practicing! Yes, you were a bit too ambitious with this cake order which was a mistake, but don't let this situation break you down. The first time I ever met Colette Peters she told me a story about a cake delivery in her early cake years that went horribly wrong, she spent the next few days crying her eyes out and and swearing she would never make a cake again. But she never gave up. She went...
For that tutorial we used an 8 Megapixel $70 Olympus Point-and-shoot Digital Camera to create our good photo next to the “Do” listWe left the camera in Auto mode and turned off the flash. As you can see from the diagram, we used 3 desk lamps we purchased at a second hand store for a few bucks (you can also get really inexpensive new desk lamps at places like IKEA and Target) and a cheap neutral bed sheet. In total, including the camera, we spent under $100. If you...

Everyone had such beautifully decorated cakes in such a short period of time!  Leanne surprised me and purchased Dawn's Oriental stringwork DVD for me as an early birthday gift, so now I am going to have to practice and...
Oh my goodness- poor baby! I hope her little one gets better soon and returns to full health.  Looking forward to seeing the cake!
I am SO excited for OSSAS this weekend! This is the 20th anniversary of the Oklahoma Sugar Art Show, so it's going to be even that much more amazing!   This year I am travelling with a pretty big CC team: Leanne, Rebecca, Amanda, Alyssa, Kari and Grace will all be there doing interviews and photographing cakes for Cake Central Magazine.   I have had so much fun meeting everyone at past shows, so I hope to see some familiar faces and meet some new CC members...
