Thank you for all your input and advice. The cake is done, and has been eaten. In my opinion, it was a huge success. I realize you guys are going to see a lot of flaws in the photos, but I am so proud of what I was able to accomplish! For me, this is a stunning result. Of course, I didn't make any of the decorations, I just made the cake, filled, stacked, frosted it, and stuck the decor on. Oh and traveled with it on my lap in the car for about 40 miles or so!
