The only time I've made a cake like this was for 6 children. I made a 12" square & marked the 6 portions out like a jigsaw. I then put each child's design on the 'jigsaw pieces'.
This is the first time all week I have been able to access the site at all. At first I thought it was my tablet but when I tried on a laptop I was still not able to access the site. I thought it was just me.I've just signed in to post this & it didn't show that was signed in, but when I pressed the reply to topic button it came up that I was signed in. I'm confused.
You're welcome. Yes i suppose it does have a slight taste, but I put it down to the bicarb. I can''t have yeast so I guess I'm used to that taste lol When making a cake I just make it to my regular recipe & add a teaspoon of water if it seems a little thick. There is a recipe on the pack but I found no difference. It is good if you can make your own cakes & biscuits because the store bought ones have way too much sugar in them. It is such minefield especially when you're...
Have they had this cornfirmed by their gp or specialist at the hospital? Only there have been a lot of health shops in the area offering tests & telling people they are celiac just to get you to buy their overpriced products. I hope you don't think I'm interfering but I know someone this happened to & I wouldn't want anyone else to get a wrong diagnosis or get ripped off. Should you need it Doves farm do a great gluten free plain or self raising flour that you can get from...
I have to admit it is something that annoys me too, especially on wedding cakes. Like you say you have this beautiful cake,, that someone has obviously put a lot of time & effort into & then they leave the ugly board on show.Another thing that bugs me is when people put heart shaped wedding cakes on round or square boards. Before eveyone jumps on me, I know for some they're not always available, but i'm talking about businesses selling cakes that I know they'd be available...
You're welcome
I agree, if you're in the uk you'd do well to invest in invicta tins. They are a good heavy duty tin & treated well they will last a life time. Design-a-cake.co.uk are a good site that stocks them. Beware of cheap imitations on places like ebay. They may look the same & say heavy duty but they are not of the same standard.
So cute. He doesn't have eyebrows was the first thing that struck me. I know a lot of people don't put them on but from personal experience it can make all the difference. Maybe that will balance out the size that others have mentioned. I feel your pain I always struggle with eyes.
They look like ribbon to me. The plastic kind you wrap gifts with. Looks like it's been split to get it fine & that would cause it to curl that way. The only other thing I've used that looks similar is artificial bear grass.
