I just wanted to express my condolences, one of my best friends has lost two babies (one stillbirth and one was born at 22 weeks and only lived a few seconds)....... those funerals were some of the roughest moments in my life. My friend only has a couple of pictures of her daughter and a couple of pictures taken at her funeral (at first I felt strange seeing pictures being taken at the funeral but now after going through the memory books I get it, this is all she has of...
My sister was allergic to eggs...so this recipe is a favorite around my house (thankfully she grew out of that allergy around 13 yrs old)Eggless Chocolage Cake"3 Cups Flour2/3 Cup cocoa1 tsp salt2 tsp baking soda2 cups sugaradd to mix:2 cups water2 tsp vanilla2 tsp vinegar1 cup oilput in a greased 9X13 at 350 degrees for 35 minutes (or so).we just topped it with a canned icing from the store and it always gets RAVE reviews!
best of luck with that.......my best advice start early...red often darkens overnight.....make sure to only tint the amount you need...trying to make an entire batch red is hard....and I like using Americolor Super red or red red........seems to work a bit better than Wilton (though you still have to use a lot)......sometimes I start to tint icing with a bright/dark pink first and then move on to red....but its ALWAYS a chore.
I think you will be fine..........
Odessa,I am all for it being ok for people to ask for a discount, but honey, a big wedding or even a traditional wedding cake is not a NEED......if they cannot afford to spend $125 then they can buy sheet cakes or something....you sacrificing yourself (and your profit margin) is not going to single handedly save the economy and people will make their own decisions on what they can do financially...
there are some seriously neato cakes out there that I had never seen!!
either most views or in the most people's fav's I would guess
