If I'm making a 3 tier cake, and the bottom tier is going to have 3 or 4 layers ( 11/2 to 2 inches for each layer) do I have to put a support system between the bottom layers. In the past I have only used 2 layers per tier.

After making NFSC, how long can I keep the dough in the fridge before I use it?

A Hobby Lobby just opened in our state. I want to make my own silicone mold. There is something by AMACO, it's mix a mold. It says that it is non toxic. Would I be able to us this?
I have a recipe for cupcakes that calls for shortening. I would like to replace it with something different. It calls for 1 cup shortening, what do you think I could use to replace it?
