My son would love a Lego cake for his birthday.  I was wondering if anyone's ever tried these Lego man molds and if so, how'd it turn out?  I'm thinking of using something like this.  I'd put the Lego men either on top of the cake or on cupcakes using candy melts or something.

Ahhhhh  cute.  I watched the 'Lego' movie yesterday, what a wild ride, no wonder kids love it.

What are the size of those things?  small enough for molding fondant, or huge for baking cakes in it?

I've used the man one before. It's a bit difficult to get the different colors into the little spots (yellow for heads, hands, legs) with a different color for the body. I experienced some run together where the blue or red candy melts I used met the yellow candy melts, but it wasn't too bad.

For the bricks, I used these molds. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005OMXM7W/?tag=cakecentral-20+mold

I also purchased lego brick candy and had some fun with it.  http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000DJT3C/?tag=cakecentral-20+candy
