Hi Everyone,

I have a 50/50 mix of gumpaste and fondant that i used to make pinwheel decorations.  Can I attach them to buttercream and let it sit at room temperature overnight?  Or will the crisco in the buttercream cause the pinwheel to dissolve or run?

Thanks!

AI use nothing but a crusting buttercream icing and attach fondant and or fondant/gumpaste decorations all the time. They are done almost always 12-24 hours in advance of delivery. Never had any problems.

It might run a bit, but why would you need or want to leave it in overnight..?

AI delivered the cake this evening. I usually put decorations on fondant and they are fine. Just wasn't sure if I put the dried decorations on the buttercream, if they would disintegrate like a royal icing decoration would.
