Does anyone have a really yummy yellow cake recipe they would like to share with me. I have tried so many different ones and can't seem to find one I like. I am looking for a moist and yummy recipe made from scratch.I would also like to to rise nice. Most of the ones I have made don't rise well. Thanks Donna

Beyond Buttercream's yellow cake is awesome! It's available for purchase and immediate download through Etsy and you get a bunch of variations. It was totally worth the purchase for me.

My modified yellow pound cake recipe is on this thread.  The flavor is so good that I always want to eat all the batter and skip the baking.  Let me know how you it works for you.

AGreat advice already given. What ones have you already tried, and what about them did you not like? That may help to know what you are looking for. Here's another suggestion. http://sweetapolita.com/2011/05/vanilla-buttermilk-cake-with-instant-fudge-frosting/

AThe one I always go back to is on Three Little Blackbirds blog. It's delicious. The pôtato starch really makes a difference.

The web site http://www.wedding-cakes-for-you.com/ has a great vanilla cake. She calls is 'white cake' but it's really a vanilla cake. I have used it for a wedding cake and a few birthday cakes and it is always delicious. The trick is gently folding in the whipped egg whites and get a nice texture. And the vanilla flavor is amazing!
