Whew! My inspection by the Dept of AG of FL is over- and I PASSED!
I was so glad as the requirements were a little vague to someone DIY. (For instance, I was cited for not having a thermometer of a certain kind in my freezer- I only have one in my fridge, but if you look at the paperwork by our state it doesn't mention specifically needing that)
I learned my inspector literally lives 2 blocks away- this could be good/or bad- haha!
There was another man training so they took about 2 hours, but they weren't looking a things that whole time, they were talking to each other and answering my questions but I wasn't expecting it to take so long!
Both of the inspectors were incredibly helpful and kind. They checked the seals on doors and windows, water temps/ made mention of my water being VERY hot and said that was VERY good, looked at my labeling or lack thereof (not quite done labeling things yet.), and checked my fridge temps. They moved the worktables out to look under them (not sure why? Maybe for bugs?)
But I am so very glad I am FINISHED with buildout, and will open my doors in a week. Yay!
so happy for you-- multiplied congratulations --
dayum -- inspected for two hours *thud* >> that's me fainting -- how incredibly nerve racking -- but you survived! yay!
hope you have the best time and the best business and all your inspections are a fraction of the first one--lol
edited to say--would love to see pictures inside if you want--
