Hi Everyone,
I want to make a cake for a friend. He is into hockey and airplanes. I am making an ice hockey rink with a plane coming up through the ice. I need ideas on how to make "broken/shattered ice" to place around the base of the plane to make it look like broken pieces. Can anyone please help me figure out what is the best way to do this?
Thanks
Cindy
I've done that. I poured cooked isomalt, let it set into the shape I needed and then quite literally, dropped it to shatter it. Mine was a boot kicking out a window. When I carried it into the venue and very concerned person came up to me and said in a conspiratorial whisper "There's broken glass on the top of your cake."
