ADo you use normal fondant to make small things like fish, or teapot things that sit on top of a cake or do you have to use sugarpaste? Thanks.
AHi again lol Fondant and sugar paste are the same thing depends on where you are from to what it's called, sugar paste is a brand of fondant like regalice ,satin ice etc, I use sugar paste , do you mean flower / gum paste that's different, I use sugar paste for all my little items it's fine for the things your taking about , It goes lovely and firm when left to dry out

Holy Cupcakes Kathy!! They're amazing!!
Chris, I think you are mixing up Sugar flower paste (SFP) with sugarpaste (SP)
If you want something thin and delicate like flower petals or standing silhouettes etc you would be best using SFP, but it tastes nasty so nobody eats it, it's really just for things you just can't make with SP
Generally if its on top of a cupcake try to use SP as people will want it to taste good.
AOhh wow they are way too cute yes I meant small things like that, so you would not use normal roll out icing, has to be sugarpaste?? I am in the uk, flowerpaste I understand, sugarpaste is this the same as normal roll out fondant? Xx
