I spent several hours looking over recipes, tips and ideas shared on how to make a orange creamsicle cake.  I finally chose a recipe which is in the oven now.  ALL OVER THE OVEN.  It overflowed the pans and is sinking in the middle.

I used this recipe:

2 boxes White Cake Mix

2 cups melted Orange Sherbet

2/3 cup diet orange soda

2 cups flour

2 cups sugar

3 orange creamsicle yogurt

6 eggs

1/4 cup oil

1 T orange extract

I'm not sure where I went wrong, but if anyone out there knows which recipe actually works, I'd appreciate it if you would share it.

I have 2 Duncan Hines Orange Supreme Cake Mixes and some white mixes.  I have the ingredients to make a cake from scratch as well.

Don't have enough yogurt to retry the recipe though.

I made a scratch recipe and replaced some of the liquid with orange soda, added orange zest and Lorann orange oil.  I made a melted vanilla ice cream American buttercream too.  It was a huge hit.  I also added a bit of orange food coloring, to the cake, too.

AI used the recipe from Sweetapolita's blog. It's her triple lemon blueberry cake recipe, minus the blueberries and lemon.
