I made a Heffalump (from Pooh) out of the 3D bear pan.... and I also used it as the base for an Elmo. (Cutting off ears and such)

I've made a hamster, a frog, a dinosaur, a cute farmer boy and a snowman. I've also seen an elephant, racoon, tiger, rabbit, penguin, bee and monkey.

I made my brother a Gizmo mogwai from the large stand up bear pan. I just trimmed off the ears and made the eyes, hands, feet and ears out of fondant but I had somewhat of a problem supporting the ears to keep them from falling off because they were kind of heavy. He was very pleased with the cake...thankfully.

Sorry, I can't get my pic to attatch because it is too big. I'll try to fix it. lol

I google for alternate ideas for any shaped pan I get. For the 3D bear, I Google Imaged for

other decorating ideas 3D bear cake pan

and on the first set of images, there are a Polar Bear with a hat, snowman, owl, Care Bear, Halloween bear with a Jack o'lantern belly, monkey, and frog. I would also try image googling for

alternate ideas 3D bear cake pan

{slightly different wording) and

3D bear cake pan

I'd also try to think of things he could be holding to customize it.

Hm, I have a wilton teddy bear cookie cutter and my nephew picked it up and said "Koala!" The cookie-cutter was upside down, lols. So try looking at your pan at different angles, you may find a koala hiding. ;)
