Valentines Day Monster Launch Cake
My friend has designed a line of toy monsters called Moxy & Toots. I did two kinds of cupcakes - Lemon with Raspberry Buttercream and Pink Lemonade with Lemon Buttercream. This was the launch party at the store where her little monsters made their debut! First time I have ever stayed up the entire night until 6am getting ready. Fondant was not my friend and by morning I just accepted the flaws and did the best I could. There are some sugar diamonds but you can't really see them too well in this shot.

Staypuft Marshmallow Man Cake
This was for one of my best friends birthday. I made the head out of rice krispy and the rest is all fondant and gumpaste detailing. Inside was 6 layers of red velvet cake and vanilla buttercream. Drippy icing affect taught by Andrea Sullivan during one of her classes. I wanted it to look "slimed". This was by far my favorite cake to work on so far.

Thomas The Train Cake
I made this for my friends son, it was was his second birthday. I had planned to make a rice krispy smoke stack but I ran out of time. This was a vanilla bean cake with 5 layers. It was very tall. Sorry the photos are not great as I only had my iphone and lost my camera temporarily.

Tree Stump Cake Class
This is the cake I learned this weekend with Andrea Sullivan of Andreas Sweet Cakes. She is truly an amazing teacher and if you are in the area of Brampton, Ontario - I highly recommend you check out her classes. They fill up fast and they are so worth it! I drive two hours to get there on Sunday mornings and it's so much fun. I used Virgin Ice for the fondant and next time I think I would love to try Satin Ice.
