Nate's 6Th Birthday
Obligatory pictures of my son's birthday cake. Buttercream green frosting with modeling chocolate leaves. Three of the dinos were fondant/gumpaste then I started reading about modeling chocolate and decided to do that. I will never go back! It's so much easier to work with than the fondant. Volcano is a RKT covered in modeling chocolate.

123 Sesame Street
I will NEVER.EVER.EVER make a building again. I made the panels two weeks ahead of time with fondant/gumpaste. They must have shrunk or something. All the characters are also fondant/gumpaste. The stairs were wafer cookies wrapped in fondant. The only not edible was the side of the stairs and I just couldn't get it, so it's foamcore underneath. People are edible images.

Hannah's 8Th Birthday
We had Hannah's party last year at a recycled materials place and the kids all did projects. She decided it was going to be "dogs and art". She drew the dogs and I made them into chocolate transfer. She had a hard time leaving out the detail that I wouldn't be able to do in chocolate. The palatte is fondant with royal icing paint. Fondant/gumpaste paintbrush.

Duck Cake
This was for some friends who were big UO fans and first time parents. he owns a Red Robin, so that character was included. Mini-ducks and top ducks were done with a MMF/gumpaste mixture. Each of the ducks on top is different. See my photos for additional views. The cake is covered in MMF. This was my first attempt at MMF and completely covering a cake.
