Hello ladies!

I need a moist cake recipe for a cake I'm making thursday. I've tried the White Almond Sour Cream cake, but I have to admit, it's not my favorite, or as moist as I like my cakes icon_confused.gif Can anyone help me? I don't have a preference on flavors, it just can't contain any fruit flavors. I don't care if it's a modified box recipe, or from scratch. Thanks icon_biggrin.gif

I used Duncan Hines white cake mix, which usually works for me, but not this time. I followed the directions exactly. It was moist the first day, but the next morning, it wasn't as moist as cake recipes that use pudding, which is the texture I guess I was going for icon_rolleyes.gif Plus, as much as I love almonds, it doesn't exactly do it for me in a cake. I know I'm an odd ball because everyone else seems to love this recipe lol.

Thanks Jan H. for the link. I'm sure one of those will work for me thumbs_up.gif

Ok here a few tips I can think of. If you weren't overly fond of the almond try just using just the vanilla.( Replace the almond amount with extra vanilla) I did notice you need to keep them securely wrapped to keep in the moisture. My cupcakes stayed moist for about 4 days aleast if wrapped tightly. I have kids so they would grab a cupcake and not put the wrapping on tight. And I do know the one time I slightly over baked them and the were on the drier side. So the next time I pulled them out about 2 minutes earlier( I first checked them with a toothpick to make sure they were done though) Are you doing a cake or cupcakes?? But like you said you might just not like this cake. But everyone I have given cupcakes to totally love them. So good luck on your search thumbs_up.gif
