Hi Everyone,

The other day a CC member posted asking for help in finding a picture of a cake that she saw on this website, its been a couple of days and many people have joined the search, and.......nothing! not a sausage!

This is the description of the cake, if this is your cake, pleaseeeeeee post us a link or picture of your cake, there a lot of interest and frustration in finding this cake! icon_smile.gif

We think it was posted in either June, July or August,
3 or 4 tiered cake (not known what the occasion was),
Decorated in just white fondant,
Decorated with multicoloured fondant words,
The OP remembers that in the comment section under the cake the baker said they had used "Tappit Funky Letters" for the multicoloured letters/words.

If you think we are talking about your cake, please post a pic or link!

Thanks Everyone! icon_smile.gif

Is this it? It is not my cake, but it fits the description and I found it in my favorites.

Ok not to sound like a tool but are you SURE you saw it on CC? I did an advanced Google image search earlier and looked through EVERY single picture including the words Tappits Funky Letters Alphabet (and other word combos)-total of 37 pages in Google. I came up with no white tiered cakes with multi-colored words. If you want to give it a try here's how you do it (just in case you didn't know)

Go to Google. Type in your search phrase. Click Advanced Search. On the very bottom, in the box labeled Search Within a Site or Domain, type in cakecentral.com/gallery. The engine will then search through the CC gallery and match anything that has the terms you entered.

What about this? Not exactly simple but it's worth a try, and way better than thumbing through the gallery on here to look for something.

Nope, I'm not sure. I'm convinced that I either imagined it or it was deleted for whatever reason. Though I'm fairly certain I didn't imagine it. I think all search avenues have been exhausted. I am defeated. Thanks for trying though!

If none of the words we are using in our searches were used in the image poster's title, description, or tag/key words, it won't ever come up that way. If the image poster titled the cake "baby shower cake" (it happens...A LOT!), the only way we're going to find it is if we go page by page by page...

The words in the comment section won't come up when doing a search...or will they? I didn't think they did.

As one of the many who has searched and was unsuccessful, I think you'll have to follow the wise words of Kenny Rogers... "You gotta know when to hold 'em; know when to fold 'em; know when to walk away; know when to run..." Time to fold 'em and do your best to make your version of the cake you saw. Unfortunately you will probably find it when you stop looking. It's just the way of the gun...(OK it's late and I'm getting punchy-NO MORE WESTERN REFERENCES!!! icon_cool.gif )
