I get many of my supplies from CK Products, but have not found other companies who sell wholesale. CK is fine for what they carry, but they are limited in some things. Global Sugar Arts has a much better selection, but only sells retail. Ditto for many others. Certainly there has to be more of a selection available to those of us who are licensed. Suggestions, please? TIA

I'm mostly looking for cake toys and decorator tools, but I'd also like to find cake boards and boxes in smaller quantities, Dominoes PS, Sweetex, gluten free products, and cake stands and plateaus.

I am not sure what you mean by cake toys but I would try brp box shop for the boxes, and if you mean decorations I would try decopac.

BRP Box Shop is the best I've found for boxes. I looked everywhere and for quite some time and they had the best quality boxes. I balked at spending that much for boxes but it is well worth the price.

Try DecoPac for "toys" for cakes. They have a great selection, and since you're in Michigan, theyre not too far away (theyre over here in Minnesota) so shipping shouldn't be too bad.

I just looked at my 2010 book from Lucks and it says on the cover "Enclosed Pricing is for the year 2010-Wholesale customers only. Please confirm current pricing before placing order."

I got this book at a shop in the kc metro area and I believe that while anyone can get a catalog(they sell them for $1.00) that the basic idea is just to let people know what is available out there in the cake world and Sugar art world. I certainly am not wholesale and probably will never be, but I like knowing what is available. I have a friend who would order for me if I found something that I wanted from them that I just had to have or could not get anywhere else. that really is not the case for me, but I know that she probably orders wholesale when she orders her products. I do not know if she has ever ordered from Lucks herself or not, but I imagine that she could if she wanted to. Good luck.

I've purchased online from Luck's but you need to be licensed with appropriate business info. Their wholesale/quantity prices are unbelievably low. (For instance, must buy cake sprinkles in gallon containers. But many decorations can be purchased in small quantities.)

From their website:
How can I find out more information about wholesale options?
Please contact Jerry Evans, National Account Manager, at [email protected], or Kathy Campbell, Projects Manager, at 800-806-2595, 253-383-4815 or [email protected]

papermart.com has excellent prices and excellent customer service
I just visited NY Cakes. (Later this morning on my blog I'm posting pictures from my visit.) It's an amazing store and they sell online http://www.nycake.com/

These are a few sources recommended from my students:

i just got some boxes in from wesellcoffee...........you don't have to buy a case at a time...plus they have pink and brown boxes.

the prices worked out the same as buying them locally by the case plain white boxes.

I order from Lucks all the time... cake drums/boards, SPS, piping tips, disposable bags etc. They have some tools and misc. doo dads, and their shimmer gels and food colors are great. They carry a lot of Bakery Crafts products. They are my go-to because shipping is free after 100 bucks I think.

I just got a CK Products account, I've ordered a bunch of stuff but I hate how they handle their shipping charges. You have no idea how much it's going be until the box has left and your card gets charged. Although I shouldn't complain since even with shipping I still pay way below retail.
