Okay here goes...
I make a buttercream that is very tasty and crusts very well, BUT
when delivering cakes in this heat it always seems to slide off my cake.
I would greatly appreciate any information from anyone who has the same heat to deal with, how you keep your cakes cold during delivery.
My Truck is air conditioned but with the heat and a few little bumps, disaster awaits me every time.
HELP PLEASE... How do I keep my cakes chilled during delivery?
In 50 years I have never chilled a cake.
Indydebi's bc is heat stable as is Charlotte's Whipped Cream Buttercream. Both in the recipes section.
Thank you Leah for your response.
I will definately try this recipe for BC,
I have already used Charlottes whipped BC recipe before... DELICIOUS
I see you are from my OLE KY HOME, I was raised in Richmond Ky
but now I live in Philadelphia, Big change, again thank you for the response
Rhonda

I second the recommendation of Indydebi's BC. I'm in South Carolina and delivered a three tiered cake over country roads. Car was A/C but the outside temp was 95 and humidity 84% and the venue AC was less than ideal. Not even a hint that the frosting was melting. Best of all, everyone loved the flavor and texture of the BC....no one had even an inkling that it's all Crisco based.
