Looking for a 3" half sheet Yellow Moist Cake recipe. And the method of not allowing it to dry out? icon_smile.gif

You can use any yellow cake recipe or use 2 box mixes with the cake extenders in it. To keep it from drying out while baking, just use a couple of metal flower nails at each end about 1/3 of the way in from the ends.

3" deep 12x18" sheet, requires 20 cups of batter:

Baking at 325F, using several inverted flower nails as heating cores, and bake even strips will yield a humpless cake.

Everything you need to know to make, decorate and assemble tiered/stacked/layer cakes:

Above super thread has popular CC recipes for crusting American buttercreams, several types of fondant and doctored cake mix (WASC and other flavor variations) and so much more!
