Making As I Type - Help - I Only Have Margarine- Buttecream

I am making buttercream frosting right now and it calls for both butter and crisco, but I only have margarine.. is that a big deal???? should I go to a all crisco recipe, but I really prefer the combo recipes...
I have mixed butter and margarine and it didn't affect the flavor too much, just ended up more off white since the margarine was more yellow (I typically make all- butter) I would think margarine and crisco would be fine, I would prefer it personally over the all shortening version.
I think it would be fine. Personally I would bung some vanilla extract in it as well to enhance it a bit.
I think it would be fine, or you can go to an all shortening and add clear butter flavoring. Especially if you want the whiter buttercream.
Yes, I will for sure add vanilla, I also often add butter extract and almond.. I just seems to like that combo. It's all I have in the house and I am not a fan of the ALL crisco frosting
The frosting came out just fine! tasted good and crusted w/ no problem! Good to know I can cheap out w/ the margarine instead of butter!
