Can I dilute my Wilton gel colors with some type of liquid to make airbrush paint?

Hi there yes you can I have heard alot of people use Vodka. Also alot of people don't recomend it because they say it clogs up the brush.

Personally I would buy some airbrush paints. I haven't ever had color gel and alcohol dilute all the way and lumps could cause issues with the airbrush.

I do use dusts with everclear in my airbrush but the mixture is alot of alcohol to a little bit of dusts.

As a side benefit I probably use my airbrush colors more for painting than I do actually airbrushing with. I love that they are already thin and ready to go when I want to paint.

I agree with TexasSugar, why take a chance on clogging your airbrush.

I thought about that so if I decide to use gel color mixed with vodka I think I will pour the color through a fine mesh strainer first.
