Am new here and would love to 'chat' to other vegan bakers. I am really enjoying reading all the threads here but there are some stuff that are just specific to vegan baking and it would be great to talk to people in the know!

I have that Babycakes book and I do not recommend it at all.
I have several other vegan cookbooks that I have great success with. I am just having problems converting my current recipes into different sized pans etc..!
I was really only looking to chat to other vegan bakers here as the cake decorating world is very new to me!!
Thanks Jan. I had already looked at those. My bigest problem is more finding out how to convert a recipe to use in different size pans and how to adjust baking time. I will keep searching the forums for info.

So do you both work in baking or as hobby?
I've been baking for years but only recently learned sugarcraft so am trying my hand at fondant covered cakes! So far so good but I have a lot to learn.
It started as a hobby but now I do it as a business on the side. I just find it so much easier to work with since I hardly have eggs and dairy on hand and already lean towards vegetarian/vegan meals. They are also by far the best cupcakes I've ever made from a recipe.
