I have a request to make a Wonder Pets Birthday Cake. Upon researching I found a cake that was done in a frozen butter cream transfer. I've never heard of this technique and wondered if any one could tell me how to do it.
Thanks as always

When I had a Vista computer (stupid thing -- hated it!) I downloaded Irfanview in order to work with pictures. It has a reverse function: http://www.irfanview.com/

It's not amazing, but it does the basics.

I tried this over the weekend and it came apart. I used Wilton buttercream and just colored it to what I wanted and outlined it with Wilton black gel icing. Don't know if that's where I went wrong, but When I tried to take it off the wax paper it broke apart. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Me too. M first and only attempt at FBCT was a disaster, yet everyone else seems to have such beautiful results with it....

Here is a video that helped me.

I have only made one transfer and had great success with mine.
Here is what I did. I taped my image to a small plastic cutting board, taped a piece of plastic wrap over the image. Outlined the image with a medium-stiff black icing (wilton premade works well) and a #3tip. Then I filled in with a #5 (my image was big) and thinner icing. i buried the tip in the icing a little but not touching the wax paper, this helped it to not look wormy.
Froze overnight. I layed it on the cake then pulled the plastic off and it turned out great.
HTH!

Want to give this another try. Need to go to Michaels at lunch time to get the black icing. And will sit down to watch this video again and hopefully I will have better luck. Thank you for the link.

Hi i've been wanting to try this, but how do you print a reverse image?

You can also get a piece of plexiglass from HomeDepot ($5). I got one that was 8x10. Tape your picture to the bottom of the plexiglass, and tape a piece of wax paper to the top. You'll be able to see the image through it. Pipe the outline in a #3 tip but you can go thicker if you want. I wouldn't pipe with a #2 as it can be more difficult. Make sure you outlline all of the components of the image, then just fill in with a #3, #4 or #5 tip (you're choice). Make sure you don't leave any holes. The beauty of the plexiglass is that you can peel back the paper image on the bottom and hold it up to the light to see if you've got gaps.

@sgalvan62 and @shalott - it's your printer, not your computer that determines the reverse, or mirror, image printing. When you go to print, click the Properties button (or something similar). You should see an option somewhere that allows you to print reverse or mirror image.

I'm just working on a Harry Potter FBCT for delivery Friday. I should have pictures up this weekend.
