Decorating By Denisedelights Updated 27 Apr 2010 , 8:18pm by tiggy2
I need some insite on how to lay royal icing figures on a buttercream covered cake. The BC would disolve the royal icing how do i provent this from happening. Thanks
I seen the royal break down before, and i want to provent that. i have been told to put sugar cubes between the BC and the royal design
The RI decorations (if they are flow in color type decorations) then the BC will dissolve them if you put them directly onto the BC. Use either some fondant or mini marshallows in between the RI decorations and the BC. If the RI are piped flowers (i.e. having used thicker RI) then those can go right into the BC and they will not dissolve.
Thanks Linstead. i love you idea butter then the sugar cubs :p
I've put color flow/royal icing transfers on directly cakes many a times with out it breaking it down, same thing with flowers.
