So I made a light box to take pictures of my cakes. I am attaching a picture of the same cake with and without the lightbox so you can see the difference.

WOW! What a difference!

Beautiful cake either way...but the way it changes the look is really striking!
Would you share how you made the box?

I used this tutorial only made it larger to fit my wedding cakes. I have also made a small one for my non-tiered cakes.

That does make it look better. Do you have a picture of your set up you'd mind posting?

Here is a picture of it set up in my garage and then folded up for storage.

I just used a sheet I bought for $2 on clearance at Wal-Mart and a couple of lights I got on clearance at Wal-Mart for $1.50 and then another lamp my husband already had.

what an amazing difference!!!!! so which way is more true to color of the actual cake?? I mean, it doesn't even look like the same cake except for the decorations.....I mean it literally looks like it's a completely different color!! So crazy!!

Hi Jenn,
Maybe you can guide me but I've made a light box( using the cardboard box and tissue paper) and have 2 desk lamps. I'm getting a ver distinct shadow behind all my pictures. Do you happen to know how to help prevent this? I am only using 40 watt bulbs since that's what my lamps max wattage is.

I've moved the lamps further back, closer up, high, low, etc but still get the shadows.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

KimAZ
