Hi, I was just wondering how everyone takes such beautiful pictures of their cakes, and if they would give tips and advice to how they do it.
backgrounds?
lighting?
Thanks

I have a pretty much automatic digital camera. I found some black fabric, I think it's jersey, very liquid like, doesn't wrinkle. One large piece that I get people to hold up behind my finished cake, and 2 smaller ones that I cover the table around the cake with. www.andeatittoo.net

I went to the fabric department of Walmart and bought 2 yards of black polar fleece fabric. I drape it over a coffee table I have in my family room, and tape the back up to the wall and that gives me a pretty good result. The fleece absorbs a lot of light if I were to use a flash, but I normally don't use a flash.
